Nothing is lost. You can continue reading everything, using it live, and downloading it as a backup. Editing is only possible again with a valid license.
Only for uploaded files such as PDFs. Workflows, notes, and fields do not require storage space. Packages are available with 100 MB or 500 MB, each valid for one year.
You will receive the key via email after purchase. Enter it in the app under Settings → Account. Both the app license and the storage key go into the same field.
